Job description

We are seeking an extremely organized, outgoing and energetic administrative sales associate for our growing fine jewelry store.  Candidates should preferably have a minimum of one year sales experience, jewelry knowledge a plus, must be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office, have data entry skills, understanding of the “customer”, attention to detail, show professionalism and have the ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

* Greeting each customer with the utmost kindness and patience

* Receive and filter phone calls in a professional matter

* Selling fine jewelry, watches to potential customers

* Handling all incoming and outgoing repairs; keeping track of completed jobs with vendors and contacting customers with job estimates and pick ups

* Typing all appraisals along with other light paperwork

* Inputting customer information for marketing purposes

* Perform business opening and closing the store

* Participate in the inventory process

* Complete case counts

Job Requirements

High School Diploma plus 6 months sales experience; or a combination of relevant education and experience

Minimum 18 years of age

Ability to pass a drug test

Ability to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis

Ability to work overtime on an occasional basis

Maintain confidentiality

Accuracy/attention to detail

Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes

Willing to learn and potential to grow with company

This is a salary based position and salary compensation is based upon experience

While I write, I have the TV going on in the background. There isn’t a rule, one way or the other for this. Some people need silence. Some, music. I know a few folks who build soundtracks for their writing, and use that. I need voices. Not words, but voices. There are two rules for the background shows/movies I have on. Job description

Role Mission To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Gucci Group Watches and Jewelry Service Department including the watchmakers and estimators and parts department as well as the out sourced service centers for North America and Canada Key Accountabilities

  • Manage service department team
  • Manage key workflow of SAV (After Sales Service) department and requests for jewelry and watches
  • Work closely with sales and training department on new training materials and updates
  • Repair customer and stock watches to Gucci standards
  • Evaluate/QC jewelry repairs
  • Evaluate/QC watches for repair
  • Repair and polish watch cases and bracelets on a timely basis
  • Maintain data base and excel reports
  • Work with customer service department on repair issues
  • Maintain and order tools and equipment for workshop
  • Work with management on issues to improve performance and productivity
  • Partner with Italy to resolve jewelry issues and with Switzerland on watch issues
  • Answer technical questions from customers, accounts, customer service, account representatives and upper management
  • Craft Guide Lines for service work policy and procedure
  • Oversee and work with sourced service centers in USA and Canada
  • Resolve escalated customer issues
  • Work with sales and forecasting teams on special requests and projects.
  • Maintain and forecast annual budgets for SAV departments for USA and Canada

Desired Skills and Experience

Job Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited school of watchmaking or 4 or more years’ experience working as a watchmaker
  • 2 or more years’ experience team management in a workshop environment
  • 2 or more years customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Must be able to speak and write English proficiently
  • Knowledge of all aspects of watches including evaluation and repair
  • Knowledge of fine jewelry and jewelry repair
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to find solutions
  • Highly adaptable
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Strong ability to work and communicate with other watchmakers, customer service and management
  • Some travel required
